Our Story

Five generations, three continents

The Sapra family’s entrepreneurial journey spans five generations and three continents, beginning in the 1950s when Mr. Rewachand Thawardas Sapra and his son, Mr. Kishenchand Sapra, established the family’s first enterprise across India and West Africa — operating in Ghana, Nigeria, and Togo. They set up a small factory manufacturing incense sticks and perfumes, alongside the import, distribution, and retailing of consumer durable goods. From these modest beginnings, the family built a reputation for reliability and steady commercial judgment that would carry through the decades to follow.

In the late 1960s, the family established operations in the United Kingdom, developing a leading import and distribution business in international alcohol and beverage brands, including partnerships with global names such as Pernod Ricard, E&J Gallo, and Diageo. Over the following decades, the family moved into brand ownership and production, developing boutique spirits brands including Rubis and V Gallery, with a presence across the UK, Europe, and Asia.

Builder of the family enterprise

Alongside his father, Mr. Kishenchand Sapra helped carry the family’s enterprise from its earliest ventures in India and West Africa into international markets, laying the commercial foundations on which later generations would build.

In 2011, Mr. Prakash Sapra established the family’s presence in Singapore under the Economic Development Board’s Global Investor Programme, founding Rubis International Pte. Ltd. to manage regional operations and support the group’s expansion across Asian markets.

A Vision for Generations

Mr. Prakash Sapra

Founder & Principal

The Sapra Family Office was founded on Mr. Prakash Sapra’s conviction that lasting wealth is not merely preserved, but actively cultivated across generations — an institution that looks beyond the returns of public markets alone, investing in enduring strategic interests and nurturing new enterprises.

Approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), the family office is guided by a disciplined, multi-generational approach to wealth. Today the family’s interests are carried forward by its fourth and fifth generation across Europe, Africa, and Singapore.
